Gregory of Nazianzus, also known as Gregory the Theologian, (b. 330, Nazianz, d. January 25, 389/390, Nazianz) was a Greek theologian, bishop of Constantinople, one of the Church Fathers ("holy fathers"). Gregory of Nazianzus is celebrated in the Latin Church on January 2, and in the Greek Church on January 25. It is also celebrated on January 30, on the feast of the Three Hierarchs, together with Saints Basil the Great and John the Golden Mouth.
