The Second Amendment to the United States Constitution...

The Second Amendment to the United States Constitution protects the right of the individual to keep and bear firearms. Okay fine, but is the Constitution going protect us, from these weapons getting into the hands of those that wish to inflict harm upon it's civilians? Too many lives have ended prematurely, because of our negligence and lenience towards these very gun laws. People die everyday from gun shots, is this the governments definition of gun control?
