Pierre Véron (1831–1900) was a French journalist, writer, and playwright. He was editor-in-chief of the satirical magazine "Le Charivari" for almost 15 years and an influential commentator on social and political life in 19th-century France.
In addition to his journalistic work, Véron wrote numerous plays, novels, and literary reviews, and was known for his humorous style and incisive observations. He was also the author of several volumes of anecdotes and sketches describing the daily life of his era.
