Paisios the Athonite (born Arsenios Eznepidis; 25 July 1924, Kayseri Province, Turkey – 12 July 1994, Monastery of St. John the Theologian at Souroti, Macedonia and Thrace, Greece) was an Orthodox monk who lived on Mount Athos. He is buried in the monastery of St. John the Evangelist at Souroti, near Thessaloniki. Paisios the Athonite is most famous for his spiritual teachings.
