He was born in Chisinau on September 28, 1932 and dies on August 2, 1994 in Bucharest. He graduated from the "Maxim Gorky" in 1956. In 1970 he had obtained his PhD. in philology and he had began his teaching career at the Faculty of Languages at the University of Bucharest. His debut as a playwright took place in 1966 with the play " Last night chill wind".
